55 year old Amazement Mnisi was excited when he bought a new car and last Thursday, he decided to take it home for his parents to bless.
The man thought the drive from his home in Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni, to Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga would be fun but it turned out to be a trip of terror.
On the way, he stopped on the side of the road to pee but while he was still relieving himself, he suddenly felt a cold iron bar on his neck. When he turned around, he saw a group of thugs, who took his car keys and tied him up.
He was bundled into the back of his new white Ford Ranger double cab and driven to Bethal, Mpumalanga, where the thugs dumped him in the veld and drove off.
âI ran to the N4 off ramp, bleeding from the neck, as I had been stabbed by the thugs.
âLuckily, Telkom technicians saw me and took me to Middelburg Police Station,â he said.
âI was taken to hospital and later I opened a case.
âI thought I was going to die during the hijacking.â
Amazement said he was hijacked on the N12 offramp near Daveyton, Ekurhuleni by the three thugs.
Police spokesman Captain Ramothakhi Maqabe said cases of hijacking and assault were opened.
Zimbabwe lifted the COSAFA Cup 2017 after a comprehensive 3 â 1 win over Zambia in the final of the Cosafa Cup tournament today.
It was the Zambians who began the game well, forcing the Zimbabwean goalkeeper Chigova to come up two crucial saves inside the first 15 minutes. However, it was Zimbabwe who surged into the lead in the 22nd minute when Zambia goalkeeper Chibwa failed to collect a cross properly and Mutizwa capitalised.
But Zambia brought on Mundia in the 39th minute and he immediately restored parity with a stunning goal. In the second half, it was a different story altogether as Zimbabwe took control of the proceedings superbly.
However, the second-half would belong entirely to Zimbabwe, who restored their lead 12 minutes after the restart as Talent Chawapiwa fired home on the rebound after Mutizwaâs initial strike had cannoned back off the woodwork.
Things would go from bad to worse for Zambia 10 minutes later when Mushure collected the ball from Chawapiwa and found the net with an accurate shot.
Zambia came close to ensuring a tense final few minutes as Ngwenya forced an excellent save from the goalkeeper, although there was to be no way back as Zimbabwe ran out comfortable title winners.
Zimbabwe would hold on easily to their lead and lift the trophy to seal a magnificent campaign. They are now the only country to have won the cup 5 times , a new record for the tournament.

The Dlamini family was surrounded by at least 20 security guards to avoid gatecrashers at TV presenter Minenhle âMinnieâ Dlaminiâs wedding in a sunny Durban on Saturday.
They got engaged in December last year. Two big notice boards on the gate stated, âStrictly no weapons, camera, video, cell phone, photography (sic)â.
An umembeso is the giving of gifts to the brideâs family, including the brideâs mother, as a way of thanking her for raising her daughter.
You can call me Mrs Jones
Often, a list of gifts and their respective recipients is provided to the groomâs family beforehand.
Gifts generally include blankets. Some neighbours and fans who were not invited camped outside the yard, but they couldnât see what was happening inside.
Every 20 minutes, guests were reminded not to take pictures and selfies because of the coupleâs commitment to a contract giving exclusive rights to a TV station for the filming and broadcasting of the wedding.
It is understood the couple raked in millions.
City Press has learnt that Minnieâs Wedding Special will be broadcast on DStv and will be produced by the coupleâs production company.
Sunday World reports the couple requested R6 million in total, with R3 million going towards production and the rest for the sale of the exclusive rights.
Among the guests who attended the coupleâs big day were Dudu Khoza, Noma Gigaba, Thembeka Cele, Basetsana Kumalo and Jessica Nkosi.
Dlaminiâs jewelry had been designed by South Africaâs premier fine diamond jewellery designer, Jenna Clifford â a world-renowned jewellery designer â known for her unique designs and superlative craftsmanship.

Four lions are believed to  have escaped from the Kruger National Parkâ and this news was officially confirmed by the SA National Parks  on Monday.
âSouth African National Parks (SANParks) has received information that four male lions believed to have escaped from the Kruger National Park (KNP) last nightâ 9 July 2017 were spotted at Matsuluâ a village outside the Parkâ and would like to urge the residents to exercise extra caution.
âKNP Rangers and their counterparts at Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) are in the area searching for the lions and we will give details as soon as they have appraised usââ said KNPâs spokespersonâ William Mabasa.
In Mayâ five lions escaped from the park near Nelspruit causing panic among the general public. Four of the lions were later recovered after a long search and the park said the fifth may have wondered back to the park.
The Kruger National Park is the largest park in the country and is home to 1â800 lions.
Who ever thought that she would be making so much by just dancing. The Dancer who is popularly known for dancing without p@nties is making a bag for herself.
Entertainer and dancer Zodwa Wabantu has revealed that contrary to popular belief, she does not âcraveâ attention and is purely here to make money, while growing her network.
Hate her or love her, the entertainer told us that she does not care what people think of her.
âLook, I am the realest person I know. I donât compromise on who I am to please society. If I want to wear a dress that showâs off my thigh and cellulite then Iâll do it. My dress was fashion forward and I loved it [The dress that got tongues wagging at the Durban July],â she said.
Zodwa said she didnât view herself as a celebrity. Â âI get bookings and I am paid well to be me; to dance, take pictures and greet people that love and support me at different places and events. My focus is on my talent and money, I am not a celebrity or a wanna be,â she said.
Zodwa has been booked by international clients and has made friends in the industry such as DJ Tira, whom she calls âa smart manâ.
Tira told us that Afro-tainment now handled some of Zodwaâs bookings and that they charged a minimum of R25k for the entertainer.
âZodwa is a wonderful person, who is a born entertainer. After we were booked by the same client in the UK, we developed a working relationship where Afro-tainment now handles her bookings, which start form R25k. She gets bookings from all over, places like Botswana and Swaziland,â he said
Retired football veteran Marks Maponyaneâs alleged habit of collecting p0rn0graphy has emerged as one of the reasons his former wife Sylvia blew the final whistle on their marital derby of 22 years.
The soccer commentatorâs alleged penchant for blue movies was thrust into the spotlight after she laid a complaint with the Department of Justice against a Tembisa Magistrateâs Court prosecutor, whom she accused of inflicting secondary trauma on her.
She alleged that when she discussed the assault case she reported against Maponyane at the Midrand Police Station and his porn collection â apparently as one of their reasons for drifting apart â the prosecutor whipped out his cellphone and showed her a photo of a naked woman justifying the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates strikerâs action.
Â
Sylviaâs complaint rattled feathers, and the Department of Justiceâs head of promotion of the rights of vulnerable groups, Praise Kambula, wrote an e-mail to advocate Andrew Chauke, head of the NPA Gauteng local division, instructing him to investigate the prosecutorâs alleged conduct.
The e-mail, which was seen by Sunday World, reads as follows: âHe [prosecutor] also took out his cellphone and showed Mrs Maponyane a photo of a n@ked woman justifying Mr Maponyaneâs alleged habit of receiving and keeping pornographic material on his cellphone

55 year old Mamashi Oagengâs life has become a struggle as her bum wonât stop getting bigger! The woman from Khotsong kasi in Bothaville, Free State, said many TV channels had broadcast stories about her problem to try and get her help but everything failed.
Mamashi said her bum started growing six years ago and it didnât seem to be going to stop. She said she was trapped in her bedroom because she had trouble walking.
Daily Sun first published her story in 2013 but all she got were marriage proposals from men around the world.
âI donât want a poking partner. I need someone to save me from my backside before itâs too late,â she said.
âLife is not easy and sometimes, I feel like giving up.
âI have been to many doctors but they say they canât help me. I believe Iâm cursed!â
Mamashi said her bum had grown so big that she canât walk properly and she spends most of her time lying in bed and waiting for someone to feed and bath her.
âMy health isnât good because of my big behind. Four years ago, I could still walk outside and catch a taxi to where I needed to go,â she said.
âPassengers and neighbours call me all sorts of names like Sarah Baartman and I cry myself to sleep.â
Mamashi said she was a beautiful woman with a nice figure six years ago.
âThe problem started when I gained weight. Even when I went on a diet, the kilograms still piled up on my bum. I need a doctor who can help me.â
Isibaya actor, Andile Gumbi has slammed rumours that he was fired from the soapie for boozing. Rumours have been doing the rounds since his sudden departure from the Mzansi Magic show.
A report came out over the weekend in the Sunday Tribune, claiming that Andile, who plays Zweli on Isibaya, had not only been missing shoots, but if he did pitch up, he would be drunk and tired.
The article claimed that he was fired because of his boozing ways. The publication also claimed to have spoken to a source from the production company, who told them that the company had done everything within their means to help the addict actor, but nothing seemed to work.
âProducers have sat down with him many times advising him to change his behaviour. Andile got so many opportunities. He has a problem with excessive drinking, he likes alcohol and itâs made him miss shoots which delayed the production,â the source told the publication.
The actor, who had been with the show since 2016, was expected to shoot until end of July 2017, when the character would be killed off.
The publication claimed to be unable to reach Andile.
Meanwhile, Andile has spoken to TshisaLive to dismiss the rumours.
According to Andile, he left Isibaya to work on a theatre production, King Kong, a move which was discussed with his bosses at Isibaya.
âI am very disappointed that someone would want to go on a limb and tarnish my professional reputation this way. Â I have done some amazing and big work in my career and never had problems with my producers, employers, colleagues or crew members,â he told the publication.
Isibaya producers also deny firing the actor for boozing.
âIf such things did take place, I think it would have been brought to our attention. All I know is that Andile met with management a few weeks ago and told them he had a new play. He was not fired, it was amicable,â said a producer who did not want to be named.
The infamous Queen Twerk was reportedly stabbed in the face with a champagne bottle over the weekend.
ZAlebs reported today that Queen Twerk, real name Faith Nketsi, was allegedly involved in an altercation with an unknown individual during a night out in Jozi.
The horrific incident caused a stir on social media since it happened, with some of her fans feeling horrified on behalf of the socialite.
Faith has not as yet spoken out about the incident. She became famous when her s.e.x tape was leaked on the internet last year.
A snapchat video of Queen Twerk has surfaced where she is deliberately hiding her face.
Â
In the video, Queen Twerk has bandages over her eye and hand.
Many people think of fertility as a blessing, but for Ugandan mum, Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye it is a curse.
Because of a medical condition called âhyper ovulationâ, she keeps getting pregnant with multiple kids â occasionally four at a time.
Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye feeding some of her children.
But help is on its way, thanks to a fundraising initiative started by the journalist who broke the story, Godfrey Lagaaju from the Ugandan newspaper Daily Monitor.
According to Lagaajuâs story, Mariamâs life of hell started at a very young age. Her wicked step-mum allegedly attempted to kill her and her four siblings by adding pounded glass to their food. Mariam was not at home at the time so didnât eat it, but her siblings all died.
WATCH BELOW: Mariamâs family at mealtime!
But having survived a painful death, she now faced a life of hardship. In 1993 at the age of 12 she was married off to a 40-year-old polygamist in Kabimbiri village, north of Uganda.
âI did not know I was being married off. People came home and brought things for my father,â Mariam is quoted as saying.
âWhen the time came for them to leave, I thought I was escorting my aunt but when I got there, she gave me away to the man.â
Miriam became a mum for the first time aged 13 â with twins. It was a sign of things to come: among her kids are six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, and three sets of quadruples. Her last born is just a few months old. Although she has given birth to 44 kids, six of them have died. Of her 38 surviving kids, 10 are girls and the rest boys.
By the time Miriam was 23 she had given birth to 25 children. Worried for her health, she sought medical advice. She was told she had a condition known as âhyper ovulationâ, which is when more than one egg is released during  a womanâs menstrual cycle. But she was given no help and sent on her way.
Adding to her misery, Mariamâs husband is a nightmare. âI have been tortured countless times by my husband; he beats me to a pulp when I try to reason with him over any issue, especially when he gets home drunk,â she is quoted as saying in the report.
âHe does not provide basic needs and welfare of the family; the children hardly know who he is since he is an absent father who gives his children names over the phone and not physically.â
But there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon for the overburdened mum. Thanks to the Daily Nationâs report, well-wishers have been lining up to donate money to help her support and educate her kids. According to the Tanzanian newspaper The Citizen, the equivalent of about R136 500 has already been raised since Mariamâs story first appeared in April.
